I had a fantastic stay and would absolutely recommend this place. It had everything I needed for a longer stay and was comfortable, well-equipped, and very peaceful. Communication with Joe was excellent from start to finish. He was friendly, responsive, and made everything incredibly easy. The pool was beautiful, and the property itself was stunning. The surroundings are very private and quiet, with plenty of wildlife and beautiful fruit trees, making it a relaxing place to unwind. It was the perfect balance of comfort and nature, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Es la segunda vez que venimos en familia y nos encanta el lugar, principalmente la privacidad y el lugar miden, cálido y cómodo. Agradecemos que nos abran las puertas de su hermosa casa y esperamos haberla cuidado que sea de su agrado volvernos a recibir. Hermoso lugar, con vistas a la montaña y un poco al océano. La piscina impecable. El lugar muy limpio ordenado y cómodo. Cerca de las playas, cerca de Nauyaca, cerca de Ecochontales.

Joe saved the day!!! We got stuck behind a downed tree and needed somewhere last minute to sleep for the night. I messaged Joe, and several other hosts, inquiring about a place to stay for the night. Within 10 minutes from my message, I had the placed booked with the access code. The home has the basics and is minimal, and the view is GORGEOUS!!!! The view alone is worth the price. 10/10 recommend staying with Joe!! He’s so friendly, helpful, and extremely responsive.

Joe’s place is very beautiful and very private. We had some issues with the electricity during our stay but Joe was incredibly responsive and very helpful. There is a beautiful pool with even more beautiful views! I recommend staying here if you want to explore nearby Dominical and Uvita, as it’s just a short 20-30 minute drive away.

We really enjoyed our stay. The views and privacy of the property were excellent, and one of the highlights was being able to relax in the pool while watching the sunset. The listing does mention needing a suitable vehicle for the road, and I would agree that a taller vehicle is best. We used a Mitsubishi Outlander and had no trouble getting there at all. Overall, it was a peaceful and beautiful place to stay in Dominical.

This was one of our favorite stays in Costa Rica. Everything was private, gorgeous, and well maintained. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen was well equiped. We would stay here again.

We were very lucky to find this gem available. The space is perfect, all amenities accounted for, clean refreshing pool and well lit area, bug and critter free inside! Host communication was excellent and very responsive when needed.

If you're looking for a peaceful stay with astounding views, private patio, wonderful shared pool and patio with bbq, fast internet and friendly service... this is it. Highly reccomend!

Nos encantó el Lugar, 2 adultos y 2 niños super privado y seguro, Joe super atento y pendiente. Atardecer increíble. Buen parqueo bajo techo y a unos metros del hospedaje. Únicamente el camino si es lastre talvez carro 4x2 suba pero debe ser alto, preferiblemente 4x4.

El sitio es nuevo, todo estaba limpio y en orden, el acceso es fácil, tiene una vista increible, definitivamente si recomiendo el alojamiento.

I absolutely loved this place, it was quiet and felt like a little slice of heaven just for me. The views were spectacular, amenities were great, the host was so helpful and responsive. My only 2 things, power went our numerous times but learning this is normal for certain areas and finding the place initially was a bit challenging, maybe more signage would be helpful but perhaps this is on purpose for privacy. Otherwise once I got used to it, the drive up the mountain was so fun!! I would definitely book again.

We enjoyed our stay at Joe’s house. It was extremely clean, with complimentary coffee ready for us. Joe was extremely accommodating and reliable. Just know a 4WD vehicle is highly recommended here but so worth it! Overall would recommend staying here. Breathtaking sunsets and beautiful home ☺️🌅

El alojamiento de Joe es un lugar perfecto para descansar y alejarse de la ciudad y su caos. Envuelto en naturaleza, sonidos de pajaritos que te dan el “buenos días”. La vista con uno de los mejores atardeceres de la zona sur de Costa Rica. Joe es muy agradable, responde oportunamente y siempre brinda soluciones favorables.

El lugar es hermoso y adecuado. Eso sí, muy recomendando llevar vehículo 4x4 ya que el camino para llegar tiene muy poco lastre entonces si llueve se vuelve resbaloso. Los anfitriones excelente atención en todo momento atentos a tus mensajes. El hospedaje tiene todo lo que indica el anuncio. Está a pocos minutos en carro de restaurantes y comercios. Muy bonito, muy limpio y tranquilo.

Absolutely beautiful spot! Paradise for birdwatchers and stunning sunsets every night. Loved having the pool a few steps away. Hammock naps were a favorite memory. The location is perfect: surrounded by nature while being less than a 15min drive to the beach, restaurants, and grocery stores. Both Joe and Yony really go above and beyond as hosts. They gave great recommendations for local sights and ways to make the most of the stay. You'll love it here :)

Une petite maison avec une cours très intime et piscine privée. Les couchers de soleil étaient magnifiques! L’endroit était bien situé pour faire plusieurs activités et l’épicerie tout près. We enjoyed our stay at this house. Joe was great with communication and always available to answer any questions we had. Yony was super friendly and kind as well. The pool was incredibly refreshing to cool down on the hot, sunny days.

Un des meilleurs endroits où nous avons séjourné avec mon conjoint et notre fils au Costa Rica. Le logement a dépassé nos attentes. Environnement paisible. La maison offre un joli point de vue depuis la terrasse et la piscine, parfait pour se détendre et admirer le coucher du soleil. Nous avons dormi avec le son de la nature. The place was wonderful with a beautiful view next to a clean pool overlooking the same view of the valley. Our only downside is that the bed is rather had, which led us to having some bed nights.

Our stay at Villa Cascada Sanctuary was absolutely wonderful! The view alone is worth the stay, it’s breathtaking and something we enjoyed every day. The house itself is incredibly spacious and had everything we needed to feel comfortable during our visit. The pool overlooking the view was beautiful and quickly became one of our favorite spots to relax. We also really appreciated the extra towels provided for the pool, such a thoughtful touch! There was plenty of parking space, which made things very convenient for our group. The beds were very comfortable, and having access to a washer and dryer was a huge bonus during our trip. The WiFi and TV were nice comforts to have in the evenings, even though we spent most of our time enjoying the incredible nature around us. The whole place truly captured the peaceful Costa Rican vibe, calm, beautiful, and relaxing. We’re so grateful for our stay and would absolutely recommend it!

This is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the beauty of Costa Rica. The host recommends a 4x4 due to the gravel road once you leave the highway. Being to CR a few times now I feel that's standard and we had no issues accessing the property. About a 15 minute drive from Dominical where you can find most of your needs. This space was perfect for our family of 4 and we recommend this to others as a place to relax and enjoy the sounds and views. Thanks for hosting Joe!

We had a quick one night stay here on our way up to SJO, honestly I wish we could have stayed longer. The home was so peaceful and the private pool was the perfect place to unwind for the afternoon. Peaceful neighborhood and only a short distance to town. Joe was so kind and extremely easy to work with, quick responses to messages and even helped us with a small issue in a pinch. I highly recommend staying here for a few days/weeks and making yourself at home here while you explore the surrounding area. Home was perfect size for my husband and I, well stocked and overlooked a really beautiful butte. Hoping to come back for longer next time!

Tolle Unterkunft! Es war etwas klein mit zwei Kindern, aber der Balkon mit der tollen Aussicht und die schöne Pool-Area mit Hängematte im Baumschatten haben das wettgemacht. Joe ist zudem immer schnell erreichbar und kümmert sich schnell um alle Anliegen. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

First, I need to say that I was there since December 22, until a few days ago, a long and very pleasant stay. A few trivial issues came up in the first 2 days and were resolved within minutes. Immediate attention and solution for all that was encountered during our stay. Well equiped kitchen. Hot water shower and superb outside terrace. Joe always responded either immediately or within minutes for anything. And what to say about having your own pool! Am planning to go back next year....but longer! Paul Tittley

El sitio de Joe es precioso, tal como se describe y ve en las fotos. Nos sentimos muy a gusto, y tiene lo indispensable para pasar tener una estadía agradable y rodeado de la naturaleza de Costa Rica. Tomarse un café en la terraza para iniciar el día y la piscina es muy conveniente para cerrarlo. Las instrucciones fueron claras, el camino de llegada requiere un vehículo 4x4. Joe siempre fue amable y nos dio sugerencias de los sitios cercanos para comer y comprar suministros. Definitivamente lo recomendamos mucho.

The location is stunning. Up in the hills just 15 minutes from Dominical. It’s very peaceful and we saw lots of birds and wildlife. Nice pool with wonderful views; and a great gas BBQ and covered eating area. There are 10 cabins in all each with its own private terrace/ small garden. washing machine and dryer was super useful. Joe responded quickly to requests we made. The cabin is in need of a bit of updating. The bed is a small double and if we are honest was the least comfy bed we slept on out of 8 different places. Lots of restaurants in Dominical and a beautiful beach. We were warned whilst parked near the beach not to leave ANYTHING in the car as there are regular break ins. We did the hike to Nauyaca falls. Plan your trip to be there for opening. 10 minute drive You’ll need stamina..It’s hot and slippery (hiking trainers needed) but the cold water swim at the waterfall is lovely. Water shoes recommended

Heerlijk verblijf gehad op super locatie. Appartement was van alle gemakken voorzien en Joe was een fijne host die snel en duidelijk communiceerde. Als we kritisch moeten zijn was het matras niet zo fijn. Die zou iets meer comfort en ondersteuning mogen bieden.

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Cascada Azul. It’s a lovely place tucked up in the hills above Dominical. The condo is well-laid out and presented and the pool great for relaxing and enjoying the most incredible sunsets. Joe was extremely responsive and helpful. His detailed information and excellent recommendations made our stay even better than we had hoped. Highly recommended!

El lugar se encuentra a 15-20 mins de playa dominical, es necesario un carro 4x4 tal y como lo describen. El lugar es bonito y bien cuidado, tranquilo y los host son responsables y responden en menos de 10 mins. Internet bien y el agua se si puede consumir, al menos a nosotros no nos pasó nada. Recomendado para hacer tour por diferentes playas o cataratas.

We spent a month at Joe's place in Baru. we had never been to Costa Rica and for me this was more than I imagined it would be. There are 10 villas at Joe's place that share the pool BBQ and washing machines. We never felt that the place was over crowded. The sunsets were the highlight of our day. The surrounding area offers lots to do. beautiful beaches that are not overcrowded. sometimes when I took a walk on the beach I felt like I was the only one there. We saw so many animals and birds. in their own habitate so no need to book expensive trips to see what Costa Rica has to offer when it comes to wildlife and nature. The food that we enjoyed was great. We tended to go to sodas and stay away from the more expensive restaurants in Dominical, although they do have some great restaurants in Dominical. we just like home cooking. Yony is the main man there. he took such good care of us. nothing was too much trouble. If in Costa Rica, try this place out, you won't be disappointed.

Everything was absolutely perfect. The villa was beautiful, clean, and exactly as described. The location was great, and we felt comfortable from the first minute. Communication was smooth and easy. We would definitely stay here again highly recommended!

This place sits high atop the mountain with stunning views and peaceful surroundings. First drive up is a little challenging but we quickly became familiar with our surroundings and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Great stay.

Great 4 night stay here. Joe was so communicative and helpful with getting there and any need during our stay. Had helpful local suggestions too! After a long roadtrip around CR this was a lovely end to our trip. The house had everything we needed and only about a 10min drive to the big supermarket. I would advise a 4x4 to get to the house as it’s a tricky uphill drive. Deffo recommend

Es war einfach alles perfekt. Vom ersten Moment an haben wir uns rundum wohlgefühlt – die Kommunikation war herzlich und unkompliziert. Der Pool und die Aussicht, sowohl von dort als auch von der eigenen Veranda, sind schlichtweg atemberaubend. Dieser Ort hat uns tief beeindruckt. Joe’s place offers peaceful surroundings, beautiful views of the mountains! Definitely need a 4x4 to get there, it takes around 15min from Dominical with the last stretch being more rocky. Joe was really helpful and gave us a lot of good recommendations!

Este lugar es perfecto para descansar. Totalmente privado, silencioso y con unas vistas maravillosas. Fui con mi perrita para el 31/12/2025 huyendo de los ruidos de la pólvora y no se escuchaba absolutamente nada. Ni siquiera ruidos de otros huéspedes porque todos íbamos en sintonía similar: tener una noche de paz. Los anfitriones atendieron nuestras consultas de manera amable, respetuosa, inclusive, tuve un par de situaciones y nos dieron soluciones prontas. La cama es suave y perfecta para descansar. El alojamiento está equipado con todo lo necesario. El aire funciona muy bien. Se dan indicaciones claras sobre el respeto hacia los demás y el entorno en cuanto al ruido. A los alrededores hay playas hermosas que se pueden visitar y muchos comercios (no tan cerca pero si a distancias razonables. No cabe duda de que volveríamos a hospedarnos mi familia y yo. Lo recomiendo 100%.

El lugar es una opción excelente si se busca tranquilidad entre la montaña y cerca de la playa … La casa cómoda con las cosas necesarias para pasar súper bien ; piscina y área con parrilla limpia ! Desde el patio trasero o la piscina un atardecer espectacular con el mar al fondo ☺️

El Airbnb se encuentra ubicado en la montaña, rodeado de naturaleza, lo cual lo hace un lugar muy especial. La vista es realmente impresionante y el entorno transmite mucha paz; es un lugar mágico. El hogar es muy lindo, la piscina es muy refrescante y se puede hacer uso de la parrilla, lo cual disfrutamos bastante. La habitación en general estaba limpia y cómoda. Tuvimos algunos inconvenientes durante la estadía, pero fueron atendidos y resueltos rápidamente por Joe. Queremos destacar su excelente comunicación, amabilidad y disposición para ayudar en todo momento; realmente nos hizo sentir muy bien atendidos. Nosotros llegamos en un carro 4x4, aunque no fue necesario usar la tracción. Hay algunos tramos con piedra suelta que podrían resultar un poco complicados, pero en general consideramos que un carro 4x2 también podría subir sin mayores problemas. Estamos muy contentos con nuestra experiencia y recomendamos este lugar al 100%.

I fell in love with this EPIC view! The photos do not do it justice, the place feels so peaceful overlooking the jungle and ocean. The place was clean and Joe & Yony are so friendly and helpful. I would stay here long term if I could. Just know that you are in the jungle and will have jungle animals visiting sometimes. I stayed in #1 and it is perfectly close to washer and dryer area. Its up the mountain so it feels secluded but you are very close to all stores and Dominical. Love it, definitely recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay! A peaceful location with a stunning view, but still close enough to town. We got to see two toucans while we were swimming in the pool. Joe was responsive to any questions we asked and give us some great local recommendations.

Fantastic stay at the Villas! Our place was extremely clean and tidy when we arrived. We enjoyed sitting on the back deck and listening to the jungle surrounding us. Joe was extremely attentive and even delivered us a bag of ice when we had forgotten ours in town. Would highly recommend this stay

His sharing of his feeling for the goodness of Costa Rica comes through in many ways - connection with the local attractions, insights into the spirit of the local population and a deep appreciation for the incredible natural diversity all added to our stay. On the practical side, Joe bailed us out by coming to our rescue when we had car trouble late at night. (Yes, a four wheel drive vehicle for this location will serve you best). He always made sure we were doing ok with our stay. We heartily recommend Cascada Azul Villas for your stay in Costa Rica.

Joe is the most communicative and helpful host I’ve stayed with. Great recommendations. This place has all the listed amenities. We drank the tap water most of the time though after heavy rain you see sediment so then we would switch to bottled water. WiFi/power did go out for a while weekend but that is out of his control. 4x4 is absolutely needed. On very clear days you can see the Pacific Ocean, Barú river and the surrounding mountains. We had a Tuscan and aguati that liked to hang out as well as many different colored butterflies. So remote but still only 15 min drive to the beach (depending on how fast you drive down the mountain). San Isidro is worth the trip it’s like a smaller San Jose with a farmers market Wednesdays and Thursdays. Tinamaste market is Tuesdays. Soda de Peña is hands down the best soda I’ve eaten at in the country so far. And the Elizabeth supermarket is the best grocery selection and prices. BM is quite expensive but will have more NAmerican/european selection

This is a very special place. We love our one‑month stay—definitely it was the best choice we made. Waking up every morning to the beautiful view of the mountain, cloud forest and the ocean is refreshing and inspiring. Relaxing by the swimming pool is a wonderful experience. The quiet but great neighborhood makes it feel like a community. Joe, Yony and Evelyn were very responsive and attentive; they are amazing people who always make sure you have the best stay. We will definitely come back again. I highly recommend it if you want to be close to nature, yet distant from all the noise, and to discover the beauty of the country.

Accommodations were a bit better than expected, but the ocean view is misleading. Only a small strip is visible and if one didn't know what they were looking at they wouldn't realize it was the water. Other than that, I enjoyed the view and watching the clouds and rain approaching up the valley and seeing the varied animals infrequently wandering by. The pool and picnic areas are additional pluses. Another plus would be Yoni and his wife who were very friendly and helpful in meeting any and all needs. I don't recall it being mentioned, but a rental vehicle is almost necessary unless one can afford exorbitant prices for taxi service.

Very nice place to escape. We saw dozens of butterflies, toucans and countless hummingbirds during our short stay. The pool is clean and the roar of the distant water is very peaceful.

La comunicación con Joe fue muy buena, nos dio instrucciones específicas de cómo llegar al lugar. El camino aunque es de piedra está bien cuidado. El lugar es exactamente como las fotos. Queda a 10 minutos de Dominical y a 10 minutos de las Cataratas Nauyaca lo que lo hace una excelente ubicación y tiene una vista impresionante! Tuvimos en general una muy buena estadía. Sin embargo, lamentablemente, cuando llegamos nos dimos cuenta que las sábanas olían como si no se hubiesen lavado! Tenían parrilla, pero estaba sucia y llena de pelo de perro, tuvimos que limpiarla. Algunos platos de la cocina tenían moho :( Creo que es importante asegurarse de que el lugar quede limpio para las personas que vienen a hospedarse, pero exceptuando esto, es un increíble lugar para hospedarse

My family and I had a great stay. Anytime we are in the area we will stay again. The view was incredible and the house was very clean. We did get a little lost because google maps wasn’t cooperating but I called the number provided and Joe answered right away and gave step by step instructions.

What can I say but BOOK IT NOW since being in Costa Rica we’ve stayed in four other airbnbs and this one was next level. The view will take your breath away. Joe was amazing at communicating everything we needed to know and answered all the questions I had. There were a few hiccups which happens everywhere and Joe and his partner Yony were so proactive. The solar panels are a plus due to the power outages in the tropical forest and there is a beautiful road in the community you can walk in YOUR HIKING SHOES. I wish I could share photos because we saw some beautiful toucans and loads of other animals. Download the Merlin bird Id app if you’re staying here because you’ll get to identify so many amazing birds. I’m giving Joe and Yony virtual hugs for taking care of my family and myself. Last thing the beds ARE AMAZING

Beautiful location, very responsive and helpful hosts. Loved the place, but keep in mind, will need a 4x4 vehicle to come and go into town for groceries or restaurants etc. Great experience!

Loved staying at Joe’s place with family. Kids and adults both loved the back patio and pool. Comfortable couch that we snuggled on to watch a movie. Rooms and bedding were comfortable and just as described. The view was gorgeous and so many flowers and butterflies in addition to the mountains and sea. Joe was incredibly responsive with questions and all the amenities were in great condition and just how you would want them to be. We needed a respite from a long day at Manuel Antonio Park before spending another day in the car and Joe’s place was perfect for that. The next day it was an easy drive down the mountain to eat on the way to Dominical and spend time exploring there before hitting the road south again to Puerto Jimenez.

We had a great stay at this property in Costa Rica! The view is absolutely stunning, and the pool is amazing — definitely a highlight of our trip. The house was well-equipped with all the basic necessities, and the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. Communication with Joe, the host, was quick and easy. He was very attentive and resolved any issues right away, which we really appreciated. A couple of things to note for future guests: during our stay, the lights turned off unexpectedly almost every night. They always came back on within 5–7 minutes, but it was a bit inconvenient. Also, make sure to arrive before sunset — the road can be tricky to navigate in the dark. Use the provided map pin and follow the directions precisely. Lastly, while the kitchen was fully stocked with equipment, it would’ve been nice to have a few basics like salt, pepper, or some cooking spices. Overall, we really enjoyed our time here and would recommend it. Thanks again to Joe

Me gustó mucho el hospedaje, mucha tranquilidad, muchos pájaros, y sonidos de animales que trasmiten paz. Fuimos con un carro 4x2 y estuvo bien por ser verano, si no sabes manejar en calle de lastre si es necesario un 4x4 o en invierno si es necesario. Las vistas son increíbles. .

La calle es de acceso complicado si llevas un carro sedan y manual, nos tocó un día con lluvia y la subida fue difícil, también es importante saber que durante horas de la noche la luz se fue constantemente por períodos de 10, 20 y hasta 30 minutos a partir de las 7 de la noche lo cual resulta bastante complicado ya que quedas a oscuras por completo El alojamiento cuenta con todo lo necesario para pasar una buena estadía a excepción de los cortes de luz

Beim Check-in hatten wir zunächst ein paar Probleme mit der Sauberkeit – die Unterkunft war nicht ganz so sauber, wie wir es erwartet hatten. Nachdem wir Joe kontaktiert hatten, war jedoch innerhalb von fünf Minuten jemand vor Ort, der sich sofort um alles gekümmert hat. Danach war die Wohnung blitzblank und wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt. Die Unterkunft ist super ausgestattet und bietet wirklich alles, was man braucht. Die Aussicht ist einfach atemberaubend! Wir haben uns so wohlgefühlt, dass wir direkt eine weitere Nacht drangehängt haben. Ein Hinweis: Man braucht definitiv ein 4×4 Allradfahrzeug, um gut dorthin zu kommen.

Beautiful spot 10min from Dominical up the mountain. The view was spectacular every day. We loved watching Toucans right outside of our condo and hearing the howler monkeys. We enjoyed the patio so much, especially during those magical sunsets. The pool is a very nice additional amenity. Simply said; peaceful and beautiful place … small piece of paradise.

Such a magnificent stay! Tremendous views, clean space, and it felt cozy like our own home. My wife had an issue with the AC and Joe came up and personally showed her how to work it. Very responsive host and you can’t beat that sunset over the ocean.

Last minute booking when another Airbnb fell through and I'm glad we found this place! Very helpful hosts, and a great stay. The views from the pool and private patio are AMAZING. The road up is definitely an adventure. Can't thank the hosts enough for being quick with helpful responses when we were worried about making it up the hill in the rain.

Amazing view! The units overlook a gorgeous, green canyon. There are 10 units, all connected, but our stay still felt private. Beautiful pool that’s maintained daily.

Breathtaking sunsets, incredible views from this elevation such that you are often looking down at the birds flying or at their level and the fog/clouds are sometimes below you. Watching the sunset while swimming in the pool or sitting on our patio were special features of this place. The sounds of monkeys, birds and cicadas chirping totally enhanced this peaceful piece of paradise.

Beautiful apartment in the jungle. Very calm, overlooking the beautiful landscape. Joe was super friendly and reacting to messages really fast. approx. 30 minutes drive to the beautiful Uvia beach. Keep in mind that you’ll be driving on small, narrow and not paved roads, also uphill.

Taking a morning dip in the pool was lovely. The evening view was stunning. Getting there was exciting, thankfully, our rented 4X2 made it! Hot shower, nice temperature water in the pool.

Excelente vista desde la montaña hacia el mar. Se encuentra en una zona alta que requiere 4x4, pero el camino está en buen estado. La casa no es la más moderna, pero cuenta con todo el equipamiento necesario para disfrutar la estadía. Los hosts fueron muy buenos en la comunicación.

La zona es paradisiaca, lo recomiendo para salir de la rutina y del estrés de la ciudad. Pudimos ver tucanes, chanchos de monte, iguanas y pizotes, mis hijas quedaron encantadas. La piscina muy limpia, se nota que le dan excelente mantenimiento a las villas y a la piscina. Joe es un excelente anfitrión, muy amable y responde rápido. Like all other reviews mentioned.. the view is breathtaking 🍃 lots of nature and great for birdwatching. We really enjoyed the pool area! The villa itself was comfortable, and had the basics, it is not luxurious but it is just as described. We were not dissappointed, and Joe was an extremely responsive and helpful host. Thank you! We had a fun time at the place, close to waterfalls and beaches but far enough to feel secluded!

Beautiful location in the middle of the jungle 10 min drive from the Nayauca waterfalls and playa Dominical as well as the first supermarket (BM). Pool and the view are incredible but the inside apartment was a bit old and smelt bad humidity. The AC is over dated.

I stayed at joes place for about 3 weeks. The place was very nice, the views were great even during the rain. The pool looked just like the pictures as well as the rest of the property. days after I arrived there was a leak in the air conditioner. Joe immediately answered and had someone come fix it the same day. I was able to meet Joe during my stay and he was just as friendly and helpful in person. The whole maintenance team at joes place were also really friendly during my time as well. The community in the villas are great if you are looking for friends or like minded people traveling. I would 100% recommend renting your own car as the villa is on top of a mountain and there is nothing in walking distance from the property. Also keep in mind if you are planning on working online that the power did go out just about every single day of my stay but there was heavy rain and I think this is very common for Costa Rica. Would definitely recommend if you need a nature getaway!! 🇨🇷

Where to begin!! I’ve been traveling for some time & have rented many airbnbs and the energy of this place and Joe are just unmatched. Hard to put into words what you experience here but from his place to his prompt replies Joe is absolutely about making your time spent here a memory you will never forget. I woke up every morning & had breakfast outside in the clouds (but really). I loved the community aspect of the villas as I’m a solo traveler - we made what we called family dinners, sat outside together for what I deemed sunset club, helped eachother out. I extended 3 times and I believe that says how much love this place. 1000000/10 there’s no way you’ll be like “damn, I regret booking this place.” 🩵🌼🧡🌞🤎

Fantastic stay! The pictures don’t do it justice. The pool, the interior, the views, and the vibe are all better than I expected. Joe is extremely friendly and responsive. I even requested to boost the internet speed as I run a remote business. Joe happily accepted, and the internet speed nearly doubled. It’s been one of the best Airbnb experiences I’ve had. Come check this place out already.

Great communication with Joe and his caretaker Yony, who is available and very helpful. It is an excellent rental choice for someone who wants to work and enjoy at the same time. Upon arrival, the fridge made a loud sound, and when asked, Joe immediately suggested I switch to another unit until he could fix the issue, which was perfect. During my one-month stay, I had a noise issue (a neighbor in a house nearby who was listening to loud music for one day), but Joe and Yony solved the problem immediately. I asked Yony several times about things, and he always helped me. Knowing Costa Rica for years, I value this quality of service and responsiveness much more than a better price or more amenities. This is why I highly recommend this rent, especially if you want to stay more than 1 or 2 nights.

Joe was a fantastic host, very responsive, attentive and caring. He wants you to have a great experience at his airbnb and that’s what makes a place extra special. I only stayed one night I was already at a beach house 20 mins away not realizing how hot it was going to be joes place had ac hot water with a view that was heaven the monthly rate he gave me was great I did have to cut my trip short I had a family situation when I come back that’s exactly where I’m going

If this is your first time in Costa Rica, be warned. Cascade Azul sets an almost unreasonably high standard. Not only is Joe an INCREDIBLE host, the villas are BEAUTIFUL. The pool and the yard are gorgeous, with a stunning view of the valley and the ocean. The villa has everything you need for a long term stay in terms of a well stocked kitchen, spacious living area with a nice private back porch, lovely bathroom…. Can’t overstate the VIEW is magnificent. Can’t overstate Joe is SO attentive, promptly responsive, and more than that super kind. I’ve stayed a couple other places in Costa Rica and even for the country of Pura Vida…. Joes place puts everywhere else I’ve stayed to shame. Couldn’t speak highly enough of this place. You have to experience it for your yourself.

I booked a 39 night stay at the condos 4 days before I flew into Costa RIca, and it was the best impulsive decision I could have made. Not only is Joe a plethora of knowledge on the area, he also had great recommendations and was always quick to reply to messages. The condo is simply everything you need for a comfortable stay in Costa RIca, and the view is beyond breathtaking. Waking up to being immersed in the jungle/mountains with an ocean view was an absolute treat every single morning— it never got old. I made many friends during my stay, and even the maintenance staff Yony was amazing. The location is ideal for a quiet getaway, yet still close enough to Dominical and surrounding beach towns. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway in nature and wanting to embody Pura Vida this is truly the spot for you! Thank you again Joe for everything, I will be back!!😌

Joe's place is a rare gem of peaceful mountain view and stunning sunset in your backyard. Newly renovated and fully equipped with everything you will need in the unit, this condo offers a combination of modern amenities and rustic country setting. The drive up the mountain road requires a 4x4 but it's totally worth it and we loved how hidden, serene and peaceful the location is. Super convenient to the major attractions and towns nearby. Close to the beach and also not far away in the other direction if you want to drive further into the mountains. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and very thankful for the helpful local tips that Joe shared with us. Highly recommend!

This was a great deal, my wife and I stayed here for two nights and loved the experience. The Baru area is stunning and this place probably has the best views in town. Joe was very friendly, proactive and responsive. The pool and shared areas are very nice and everything looks brand new. The Villa is fully equipped you have increíble views from the terrace.

What a beautiful place to enjoy the sunset and nature. We loved coming back here every evening for a dip in the pool and for stunning sunsets after a day exploring the area. The apartment had everything we needed and we were even able to cook a couple dinners on the bbq. Can’t recommend this place enough.

La ubicación del lugar es de descanso, rodeada de naturaleza, vistas increíbles, a pocos kilómetros de bellas playas. Las instalaciones muy lindas y 100% limpias, tiene acceso para personas con discapacidad ya que no tuve problemas para moverme en todo el lugar, la piscina tiene vista panorámica, el mantenimiento de las áreas comúnes impecables. La cabina tiene aire acondicionado, tiene ventiladores, en cocina hay utensilios para cocinar lo que gustes, la vista de las cabinas es formidable. Nos encantó de verdad la estadía en estás cabinas. Joe excelente anfitrión, contesta rápido, lo orienta, está pendiente de uno. 100% recomendado este hospedaje. Quedamos fascinados.

Joe es un excelente anfitrión. Las instalaciones son muy limpias y con mucho orden, tanto la villa como el área de piscina. Joe responde rápido y brinda toda la información que se necesita. Fui en verano y se podía accesar en sedan. Sin duda volveremos, quedamos encantados.

Nice location with nice view. Great swimming pool. It’s interesting to travel up to the place one or two times, not so much if you want to run to the beach for a surf and come back. Great place for staying and resting, not so much for every day travel. It has noce sutrounding with nice pool and barbecue area. We stayed with two children, it has enough room but all the rooms are just like walls, hard to explain but there is no ceiling. So if the children is sleaping you can not really turn on lights or watch tv inside sonyou dont disturb them. Good place for two people.

Absolutely lovely place. They helped us out very last minute after another Airbnb wasn't suitable and made it very easy. Gorgeous views (lots of toucans!). Pool is lovely and very refreshing. Rooms are nicely sized and have everything you need. Great showers with good water pressure. All in all a great stay.

This spot was a surprise in the best way We booked last minute and it was ready within an hour The pool and the views are priceless and worth the drive in The road is steep coming in We came in at night so it was harder to find but if you can show up in the day night it’s just as the directions explain. Joe and Cascada Azul is a "Superhost" in every sense. Location is perfect smack in the middle of everything a little bit higher so cooler days and nights, not so muggy- humid/ no noise from the main roads/ big trucks.. 12 min drive to Dominical/ Restauraunts/ Waterfalls, The Views from the room are amazing, back onto escarpment/ huge natural ravine, total bird lovers paradise.. with like giant condors gliding above n below you/ laughing Falcons.. so many others can't even name, Pool size is great, with outside common bbq area/ gazebo... 10 individual units all cozy/ quaint with own small kitchen set up, great.. for groups of people who wanna be together but semi seperate// or the solo traveler.. Stayed here 3 separate occasions just on one trip and kept coming back.. Fantastic for the Value especially.. Just stayed in Tiki Villas Prior 3 nights, closer to Uvita( 300$ a night) , and aside from the Amazing bed sheets they had.. Cascada n guests have met, feel more like a home.

Absolutely gorgeous location. Had pretty much every cooking utensil you could possibly need while away from home. Great communication Joe helped us find lots of local shops we were searching for. Only thing is there are no grocery stores or restaurants within walking distance so be prepared to drive or order taxis when you need to. Would definitely book again and rent my own 4x4 car next time.

Wir waren einige Tage mit unserem ca. 1,5 Jahre alten Sohn bei Joe. Die Unterkunft war für uns perfekt, da ruhig gelegen, sehr sauber und super komfortabel. Für die Anfahrt ist aber auf jeden Fall 4x4 empfohlen, da es recht steil über Stock und Stein hinauf geht. Einmal oben angekommen, ist der Ausblick traumhaft schön und man kann viele verschiedene Vögel und andere Tiere beobachten. Auch die Abfahrt zu den Stränden entlang der Küste haben wir als sehr entspannt empfunden. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen!

Location was ok and the space inside the unit was reasonable. It was also nice having the pool to use. Only complaint was a few weird isseus that happened and how the owners handled it. One guest had 2 small boys and on one day the were playing in the bushes and pulled a few leaves off some plants, not a big deal. But the gardener saw and called the police on them 🤯 the owner also tried to kick them out for it... one other guest who saw this, made a comment about it in his vrbo review and the owner showed up and abused him about it and demanded he take down the review.

Absolutely beautiful location at the top of a mountain with partial ocean view. However, it’s 15-20 minutes outside of town up a very rough and steep dirt road. Unit is clean and as described with basic amenities. Host was very friendly and responsive.

Joe’s place was very nice. Great location, most activities were close to the airbnb. The view from the backyard is fantastic. The pool was nice also. Joe is super responsive and he listed tons of recommendations! The electricity can go off for a couple hours here. Also the condos are very close to each other so you do hear almost everything from your neighbours! You really need a 4x4. Overall, we had a great stay! Thanks again!

Excelente lugar para descansar en medio de la naturaleza, muy tranquilo y seguro. El camino para llegar es de lastre y montaña, recomiendo subir en carros altos o 4x4 en invierno. La villa se encuentra en medio de 9 villas más separadas por la misma pared una de otra. Joe es super atento y responsable, responde rápidamente y tiene una gran lista de recomendaciones de la zona. Muy recomendado éste lugar.

This place is absolutely beautiful and I only have great things to say about this Airbnb. I stayed here for a month and it was one of the best vacations I've ever had. I did not rent a car while visiting and despite this, I was able to communicate with local taxis from around Dominical recommended by the host (Alan and Daniel) and they were so kind and very responsive via whatspp. The one thing I will say is the kitchen has everything you need utensil wise but there were no spices, even no salt or pepper. I had to buy spices while I was there. Joe did leave behind local coffee to try which I enjoyed during sunrises in the morning. The views are better than the pictures, and it was a pleasure seeing toucans and lizards around the property. The pool was big enough to swim some smaller laps and having a washer and dryer was a HUGE plus. I recommend this place 100%, don't hesitate to book here!

The villa was beautiful and was located in a wonderful setting. The views of the valley and the ocean off in the distance were amazing. There was even lots of wildlife to watch while sipping coffee on the rear patio. Joe was always extremely friendly, helpful and very quick to respond and resolve any minor issues we had. He was a great host throughout our stay. The only draw back is the rough road to get to the villa, which definitely requires a 4x4. We would recommend this place to anyone.

My husband & I are visiting from the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia - this is our 1st trip to Costa Rica - and we felt right at home here in the mountains. LOVED the drive up, the peaceful surroundings & beautiful views. Our hosts Joe & Leslie were friendly & easy going throughout our communication & they gave great tips on local hot spots which we really appreciated. Overall we’re thrilled we got a chance to experience this lovely place surrounded by nature.

We LOVED our stay with Joe. It's a beautiful and private location with amazing sunset views from both the apartment patio and the pool area. The apartment is simple but has all you need. Joe is also a wonderful host - he proactively checked in and was super responsive whenever we asked for tips and recommendations. We ended up extending our stay from 2 to 5 nights as we enjoyed our time there so much. The pair of toucans that visited the tree out front every morning was a nice touch! :)

You can watch the fog and clouds drift through the valley up to the pool and listen to the birds and animals. It’s so peaceful. We would return!

I do not know where to be begin. This place to begin is amazing ! The host Joe is the most down to empathetic, individual. The host is well experience with the area and will recommend ideas of where to go. 10 minutes from his beautiful properties there is a vast amount of things that can be done so please do not feel intimidated or even question about staying here. Back to the host, he was literally like a big brother, we sat down with him, had some breakfast and talked for about 3 hours, sorry if we talked off your ears 🫣🫶🏾. Thank you Joe for everything ! Joe was AMAZING and this location is exactly what we were looking for. He was an excellent communicator and very responsive. Having the pool to dip in after long day adventures and the washer/dryer to refresh our clothes were a huge plus. BUT...the most amazing part was the view. Photos do not do this location justice at all. Twice a day visits from toucans at the tree just outside our door. Tons of hummingbirds right in front of my face! The sounds of nature and the canvas of beauty painted in the sky every morning and evening was just priceless. I envision booking again with other couples for a group vacation, as there are 10 units on site and I just loved this place! The location was perfect for getting to our adventures and a short drive to the stunning waterfalls. The Ricar2 restaurant with the airplane on the main road was excellent too! If I could give Joe 1000 stars, I would!

Wow, just wow! Waking up to a million-dollar view of mountains and ocean is something out of a dream. 🌄 The sunsets? Absolutely unreal. We took shared photos and people kept asking if they were from postcards. Mornings? There's nothing like enjoying your morning coffee with the hummingbirds fluttering around – it’s so peaceful. Imagine no nearby construction, no nearby streets, and no barking alley dogs. It's that good. For the price, this place is an absolute steal! Plus, you're under 15 minutes away from multiple stunning waterfalls – must-see and swim these! Do keep in mind, you'll need a vehicle to get around. And Joe? The most responsive host ever! He truly made our stay wonderful and memorable. It’s a little slice of absolute heaven tucked away from the hustle and bustle. Can't recommend it enough!

We enjoyed our stay a lot. It was just what we were looking for: in the middle of nature, fantastic views and quietness yet close enough to beaches, shops and restaurants. The house was comfortable with everything we needed, very well maintained facillities and privacy. The communication with Joe and Leslie was excellent. Their recommendations for activities and restaurants were very helpful. We highly recommend staying here and are looking forward to returning in the future.

Joe is an incredible host, and besides the amazing sunsets (sometimes better than pictures) it’s truly everything you need for a home away from home. 4x4 is recommended but even during the end of the wet season a 2WD SUV did the trick going up the big hill. Such a great place for an extended stay or a quick drop in of a couple nights. Beware of the power outage during the wet season although they do get working quick to fix. Would recommend to anyone, and internet is steady for work/video call needs.

Amenities : Everything listed is available and in perfect condition Host (Joe) : Where do I begin. He is among the most wonderful and considerate hosts I have encountered so far. More than that he is an amazing human being with a kind heart who is always considerate about his guests. Tips to enhance your experience at this place : Due to the location, expect some rare power and internet outages.Joe was really kind and responsive enough to mitigate the internet outage issue in no time. It's better to have a backup internet on mobile. When it rains heavily the water might be a bit brownish, hosts informed us earlier and we had a plan. Read the description, everything is described clearly & ask questions

Un lugar espectacular, el anfitrión super pendiente..sin duda hay que ir con un carro 4x4 pero mi familia y yo quedamos encantados la ubicación no es muy exacta cuando dice que llegaste hay que seguir 200 metros más y en la primera entrada a mano derecha ahí van a encontrar todas las descripciones de los lotes.. vale la pena las vistas son hermosas ideal para relajarse en familia😊

We had an amazing stay at Joe’s. He was very accommodating and quick to respond to any questions. He was also flexible with check-in/out times which was very helpful. The condo was clean and perfect for the 4 of us. The pool was great to have for a refreshing dip after a long day exploring. The location was amazing with the most spectacular views and just a short drive down to Dominical. Joe had great recommendations in his guidebook which we took advantage of. It was truly a piece of heaven, look forward to going back soon, Thank you Joe :)

All good. Just take into consideration that bathroom wall does not go all the way up the the ceiling so everything can be heared from room and Kitchen. Everything else perfect.

We had a wonderful time, beautiful sunset , a lot of animals, very quiet and peaceful place, the space for the apartment is fine , have in mind that the sofa/bed is in the kitchen area son the are gets a bit tide when it is turn into a bed ! Other that that everything was great !! We loved the place and will definitely go back .

The views are amazing from the villas. Pool and A/C felt nice on the hot days. Joe is very responsive if anything is needed. We stayed more than a month and enjoyed being so close to the beautiful beaches of Costa Rica. I am sure we will stay here next time we come to Costa Rica. Robert and Keva Fowlkes

Beautiful and serene place. Joe and Leslie are always responsive and helpful. The place was quiet and excellently located. It was our base to visit Nauyaca falls, Marino Ballena National Park, and Dominical / Uvita beaches. Bring your own body wash, shampoo, and conditioner.

Great location at an incredible good deal that included a pool, laundry, air conditioning, appliances including juicer in our unit and more. Nice views and close to the beach.

Very serene and peaceful …

I had a wonderfull stay! The location was so awesome up in the mountains. I saw parrots, humming birds, eagles and frogs. Also my favorite food, a pineapple, was growing in my garden! Coming back from dinner in Dominical the night sky was magical to watch ✨The accomodation was perfect and the host was very helpfull and hospitable. I felt sad when I left. Would definitely recommend and come back! 🤩

myself and my travel companion loved our stay! I mean LOVED it. we felt as though we had our private yoga retreat on the mountains. yoga on the private patio while condors flew over us and we watched hummingbirds in the flowers. Having a pool was a great way to cook down and meet the other guests. Our stay was clean and comfortable. Yes, you need a car to stay here! It's hard to stay off the beaten path without transportation. but it was worth it. Thank you for such a magical stay.

Joe and Leslie created a real dreamy place and they are the nicest hosts !! Thank you so much for being so flexible and helpful. The apartment is everything you need and the view is breathtaking! Lots of birds around, we saw colibris on the balcony in the morning, so beautiful. We will come back!!

Great location worth the drive into the hills. Amazing local restaurant up the hill 15-20 worth the adventure. Pool was lovely and patio was great for views and morning coffee. Convenient lock box entry.

emplacement paradisiaque ! Tranquilité avec une vue incroyable sur les montagnes. Entretenu avec soins, nous n'avons vu aucun insecte à l'interieur malgré la vegetation abondante autour. La piscine etait toujours impeccable. Le bbq etait parfait pour faire les repas! Nous étions avec 2 jeunes enfants et tout etait parfait. Nous allions voir les couchers de soleil a la plage dominicalito (20 min) et nous allions parfois à la plage dominical (15 min) où il y avait quelques restos. Le logement etait très confortable avec la climatisation !

This place is awesome, we've been visiting and traveling CR for 17 years, we've traveled the entire country. The area between Tinamaste and Dominical is our favourite. The condo here is very private, very tranquil, beautiful and the views are absolutely amazing. The pool was extremely inviting as we visited often. The fish monger is in Dominical, and all your shopping needs are in San Isidro, this condo in somewhere in between. We will definitely return here, WOW, what a treat, this place is spectacular and easy on the budget. Thanks Joe, you've created a jungle oasis for so many to enjoy

Really enjoyed our stay, it’s a very nice quiet place!

Joe was exceptionally friendly and helpful. It is clear his love for Costa Rica for which represents the care he has put into his place!

We had an excellent stay here! Very peaceful and the views you could spend a lifetime and never get bored looking at. The wildlife feels very close with the flowers attracting loads of butterflies and humming birds, we had toucans and other birds coming to spend time at the trees nearby daily. This place is very secluded and a 4x4 vehicle is very much a must, however that said it is a perfect place to stay if you do have a car because it is centred between San Isidro and Dominical. Great for visiting the beach in the morning and coming back to the mountains to cool off in the afternoons. We received a very extensive and comprehensive list of restaurants, markets, and activities from joe that was extremely helpful!

Great villas with amazing views of the sunset and valley. We stayed for a month and enjoyed going up to San Isidro as much as to the beaches. The property is perched very nicely at the top of a ridge and the views are really worth it.

Joe's place was beautiful and peaceful. He did a great job responding to my questions quickly and helped me arrange transportation to and from the Airbnb. The view was spectacular and I hope I get to come back soon and visit again.

This place was a little respite from all the driving and traveling in Costa Rica! I called it the “rainforest retreat.” It was pristine inside and the surrounding landscape was absolutely gorgeous! The clouds would roll in and white out the mountain view and then gracefully disappear. Even though it is the dry season, we did get a heavy rain the last night we were there. So the mile long road to the Airbnb is all dirt, gravel, and steep. Having a 4x4 is a definite. Our 4x2 did it but only because I own and use a 4x4 at home. I wouldn’t recommend it. It can be a little sketchy with the rain. It is only 15 min from Dominical and Nuayaca Falls and 30min from Uvita. The pool was a nice way to cool off and relax. We bbq’d in the evening. Outside we saw a big Coati roaming around, green green frogs, tons of geckos, giant spiders, Toucans and a grip of hummingbirds. So beautiful 😍

It’s a very nice place. The view from the terrace is really beautiful. It’s the same view you have when swimming in the pool. We really enjoyed it. We‘ve been their with our two toddlers and it worked out great for us, thanks to Joes flexibility in preparing a xxl bed for us 😊 Thank you so much!

It’s a 10 minute drive from Dominical Beach in a gated community. Unit that we stayed it’s a bit tight. It lacks of privacy due to walls being built, not all the way to the ceiling. Bathroom is close to the kitchen and smell/sound affects entire experience. It has large patio with beautiful view. Has community pool where you can refresh after hot day. Overall it’s a good place to stay in the area.

My boyfriend and I spent 3 days here at Joe and Leslie's villa. It was the most perfect and convenient spot we could have found. Great views and beautiful hangout area with a nice pool to relax in after a full days worth of activities. I would defiantly book this place if you are looking to stay close to both Uvita and Manuel Antonio. Will defiantly stay here again. Thank you Joe and Leslie.

Geweldige locatie!

Here comes the end of the month in Cascada Azul and I regret how soon it vas over. I very enjoy my vacation in such a beautiful and peaceful place with stunning sunsets. We chose this place because of a beautiful views on a terrace for one reason, there other was proximity to such places: Playa Dominicalito my favorite, playa Hermosa, Uvita, playa Arco, playa Ventanas, Dominical, Nyaca Waterfall, Qepos, Manuel Antonio, Bejuco. While we have a whole month in this area and a car we also discover Corcovado national park, Golfito and Jaco. For a will of a good luck we’ve meet so many beautiful people who live and visiting Cascada Azul. One of them was our host — Joe he’s incredible person, kind and great lend lord. And during our visit we have all that we need including some practice guidance we asked for. Thank you for this incredible place and our 2 unforgettable vacation in Costa Rica.

WOW! What an amazing view . I liked coming back in the end of the day and jump into the swimming pool and watch this phenomenal sunset . Very quite location where you can hear only the nature sounds . Very safe , i slept with only screening doors to listen to the sounds of nature . Great condo sealed really well , so bugs don’t get in as they did in my other locations I been to . Joe is amazing . Great communication with him . I highly recommend his listing

We had the pleasure of staying here in Costa Rica, and it was truly an amazing experience. This a very beautiful place to stay at if you are visiting Costa Rica. The mountain and ocean view from my apartment along with the breath taking sunset's made my stay feel very special. The place is quiet, and peaceful, the pool is lovely to swim in, and when I arrived the place was very clean. The crew that works at the hotel are also very nice people. Lugar tranquilo y práctico

Joe and Leslie’s apartments between Platanillo and Dominical are great for people traveling alone. They are new, have everything you need, and are in a beautiful spot. The views are wonderful and the pool area in the morning and evening is fantastic to relax and enjoy the lush countryside and beautiful sunsets. The road getting up to the units is steep, but this is typical of the area and the reason for the beautiful views and more temperate climate. Although the bathroom has a door and walls it does not have a ceiling and is not fully enclosed, so anytime anyone does their business everyone in the unit can hear. We worked around this and it wasn’t a big deal, but just so you are aware.

DO IT!!! Book this place! So glad we stayed here. We were looking for the perfect spot. We wanted privacy, a view, a pool, and a close proximity to town. This place had it all. Joe was super helpful with our late checkin. He was attentive and wanted to make sure we felt at home. Will definitely stay here again. :)

The condo has such a beautiful view. I enjoyed feeling like I was as high as the sky. The pool area is pretty and clean and the water temperature really comfortable. There are hills to walk (and they are steep, so it is good exercise) and I met people who live in the community development. Often I walked to a small waterfall. The people I met were all very friendly. This was my first time in Costa Rica. It is very different to be in the rainforest. Quite lovely. And hot and humid in February. The condo does have AC. I do think it would be nice to have a car, and I stayed three weeks without one, so it is doable and that is an adventure too, in its own way. For sure it feels like stepping out of the world into something new.

1) This Airbnb has a wonderful location, it is in the middle of the jungle, you can see tucans and lot of other birds from your own terrace, can experience the dusk and dawn of the jungle (which is quite unforgettable), while domenical is only 15 minutes by car, waterfall is only 10 minutes and there are shops and good restaurants nearby 2) the location is super peacefully, both Joe and the other guests are very kind 3) it has a superb view to the jungle with a beautiful sunset view and not only from your terrace but also from the pool and the fantastic grill 4) Joe is very helpful and good to talk to Overall I highly recommend to choose this Airbnb while staying at this area, it is worth leaving the playa for this fantastic experience

El alojamiento con Joe y Leslie ha sido muy placentero. Ambos son muy atentos. El lugar es muy tranquilo, mucha paz. Tiene vistas increíbles con atardeceres preciosos. Todo limpio y ordenado, Joe siempre estuvo atento a lo que necesitáramos. Un excelente anfitrión. Pasamos Año Nuevo con ellos y fue genial. Definitivamente regresaremos.

Die Unterkunft bietet einen traumhaften Blick über das Tal, am Horizont ist auch das Meer erkennbar. Wichtig zu wissen (das steht auch in der Beschreibung): Für die Anfahrt wird ein Fahrzeug mit Allradantrieb benötigt. Wir hatten einen Toyota RAV4 AWD, damit ging es gerade so. Die Zimmer sind sehr hellhörig, da die Innenwände nicht bis zu Decke reichen. Die Gastgeber sind super freundlich, reagieren sehr schnell (eine kleinere Reparatur wurde innerhalb von wenigen Minuten erledigt) und sehr informativ!

The Cascada Azul Condos are absolutely majestic. Nestled in the mountains of the Jurassic park like Baru River Valley, yet just 15 minutes from the surf oasis of Dominical and the mighty pacific. I can’t think of a place I’ve ever stayed at that is so perfectly placed. You have the best of both worlds here with the cool mountain mornings and the beach so close. I navigated the road up to the condos with a 2 wheel drive small suv even with heavy rains for every day I was there. The sun rises here at 5:30 am so take advantage of the ocean and river view deck in the mornings. The fog sets low in the valley and the jungle comes to life early. You will see parrots and toucans and hear tons of jungle creatures awakening for the day, truly majestic. My two young sons were with me during my stay and we had a blast playing in the pool and tossing the ball around the deck. I also went to the store Joe recommended in Uvita, BM super market, for some meats to grill on the gas grill and watched the boys play in the pool as the sun set over the valley into the ocean. There was plenty of space for my boys to sleep on the awesome custom futon in the living room and I had the bed to myself. Great use of space with everything you need. I was able to get a little work done on the patio in the mornings with my laptop before the boys woke up while watching the jungle come alive as well and the internet was fast and reliable. Can’t recommend this place enough, what an oasis.

We really loved being here. It's a nice appartment with a public pool and a stunning view. Communicaton with Joe and Leslie was excellent. Be prepared with a suitable car - especially when it rains, the offroad path to the place can be tough for smaller cars.

A good place to stay close to Dominical. Great price for your money.. All units have a kitchen, AC, and a pool that's share by all. Views from the small private patios are awesome.

We had a great month stay and the view from the place was fantastic! Joe and Yony were very accommodating to our needs during our time there. The place has everything you need and getting to know our neighbours made it feel like home. You definitely need a 4x4 vehicle to really enjoy your experience here. Short drive to the waterfall and dominical beach. Make sure to go to Dominical Friday morning to catch the farmers market.
